Constituent Service Case Highlight

Mike F. – Travel Insurance Claim Denial

In early October, Mike F. reached out to our office after months of struggling to have his travel insurance honored. Mike purchased a policy in February for an upcoming trip and had to cancel after a hospitalization that left him unable to travel. When he filed a claim with the insurance company, they denied receiving his documents despite proof of registered mail and ignored further correspondence.

Our office guided Mike through the Pennsylvania Insurance Department’s Bureau of Consumer Services complaint process, ensuring his case received proper review. Shortly after filing, Mike received his long-delayed reimbursement check. He later visited our office to thank the team, noting that what he had tried to resolve for six months was addressed quickly with their assistance.
