LITITZ, PA July 21, 2025 − On Friday, July 18, State Senator James Andrew Malone (D-36, Lancaster) welcomed constituents and community members to the official grand opening celebration for his district office in downtown Lititz. Senator Malone is the first Democrat elected to the State Senate from Lancaster in over 130 years.

The event highlighted the district office’s constituent services and included a hygiene product drive benefitting the Lancaster County Chooses Love pantry.

“Nearly 270,000 people call Senate District 36 home,” Senator Malone said during his opening remarks. “This is a big job, and we’re working hard to make sure we help everyone who comes our way navigate state agencies and get the help they need.”

Prior to the grand opening, Senator Malone’s office has already addressed 86 constituent service cases. Common cases include assisting constituents with property tax/rent rebate applications, unemployment compensation, and navigating other state agencies.

“Every day as your Senator, I will do what it takes to make sure we take care of our people,” Senator Malone continued. “I’ll work to invest in our public schools, support our first responders, and give our families, our seniors, and our other vulnerable neighbors the foundation they need to thrive.”

“I’ll also need your help and your advocacy. That’s why we are using our grand opening as a hygiene product drive to benefit the Lancaster County Chooses Love pantry. We want to provide a better future for our neighbors while helping them however we can right now.”
