HARRISBURG, PA – On Friday, Senator Malone visited Mount Joy Township to announce a $1,043,000 Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant to assist the Township with upgrades to its municipal complex. The funding will improve township services and increase safety for the Northwest Regional Police Department by supporting the construction of a paved access lane for police and public works employees, additional parking areas, security fencing for police officers, consolidated equipment storage, and additional stormwater management facilities.
“I’m proud to have supported Mount Joy Township’s application for this funding,” said Senator Malone. “Supporting our local police and first responders is always top-of-mind for me. This grant will improve safety for our police officers and their equipment by creating fencing and automatic security gates, in addition to offsetting costs for other important upgrades at the Township’s municipal complex. Mount Joy Township’s Manager, Matt Mandia, and his team are doing an excellent job providing critical services to residents. I’m pleased to help them whenever I can.”

During the announcement, Senator Malone toured the Township’s municipal complex and planned improvements from Mr. Mandia. They were joined by Mount Joy Board of Supervisors Chair Debra Dupler and Northwest Regional Police Chief Michael Bryant.
